New Functionality Added to GP Reports Viewer
Seamlessly replace SOP Reports with your Crystal Reports |
Want to print your Crystal Reports for Invoices (and other SOP documents) but also use all the functionality built into the SOP module? Now you can! GP Reports Viewer makes it easy. Watch how to do it
here. GP users will never know that they are printing Crystal Reports instead of the default GP SOP reports, except the reports will look much better! ;-) Build 48 of GP Reports Viewer is now available for download and includes this new functionality. Also included are sample Crystal Reports for SOP transactions. Details on using the Replace SOP Reports functionality and the sample reports included has been added to the GP Reports User Guide that can be found on our
downloads page. |
Dynamically change decimal places in Crystal
With an example for quantities on GP's SOP reports |
Did you know you can set a numeric field to change the number of decimal places it shows based on a formula or another field in a table? For example in Dynamics GP, the SOP10200 and SOP30300 tables hold the number of decimal places for quantities in a field called DECPLQTY (note: DECPLQTY will always be 1 number higher than the number of decimal places). Here are the steps to dynamically change the number of decimal places for a field on a Crystal Report:
- Right click on the report field
- Choose Format Field
- Go to the Number tab and click Customize
- Click on the Formula button next to Decimals
- Enter the formula that determines how many decimal places to use - the result of the formula will be the number of decimal places
In the Dynamics GP SOP example, for SOP quantities, use the following formula: {SOP10200.DECPLQTY}-1 |
