| Announcing Windows 7 Compatibility!
GP Reports Viewer is compatible with Windows 7 |
October 22, 2009 is the official release date for Windows 7, however it is already available for download and many of you have been working with it already and asking us about compatibility. Microsoft has already added Windows 7 to the
System Requirements for Dynamics GP 10.0. We are happy to announce that GP Reports Viewer is also compatible with Windows 7. Microsoft is only supporting Dynamics GP version 10.0 with Windows 7, therefore this is the only version GP Reports Viewer will be supporting, as well. If you have questions about GP Reports Viewer compatibility with other GP versions, please e-mail our support team. You can download a fully functional version of GP Reports Viewer from our
downloads page. |
Placing a section at the bottom of a Crystal Report
Useful tip for statements |
Often when creating a statement in Crystal Reports you want to put a summary at the bottom. This summary may have the aging columns or a payment voucher, or some other data that you want to show at the bottom of the statement. Since statements are typically grouped by Customer ID, you could easily put this summary information into the Group Footer, however normally the group footer appears right under your details section, so it may look strange on the report. Here is how you can set your group footer to always appear at the bottom of the page:
- Go into the Section Expert (Report > Section Expert)
- Select the group footer on the left
- Check the 'Print at Bottom of Page' checkbox on the right
The added benefit of this approach is that if your statement happens to span multiple pages you will only get one summary printed at the bottom of the last page. |
| This Month in IT History
By: Joseph Puntasecca |
Road trip! This month many are getting in what may be their last vacation of the year or shuffling their kids off to college. But back in the day many looked forward to the end of summer and beginning of cooler weather not for the change of the season but for the Great Plains Stampede in Fargo.
In 1986 we saw the First Annual Stampede in Fargo take place in the GPU room at Great Plains, with an attendance of 20.
For the next fifteen years Stampede was held in Great Plains' home town of Fargo, ND until the 17th annual event which not only saw a location change but also took place under the Microsoft Business Solutions branding. The 17th annual (and last) Stampede in 2002 was held in Minneapolis, Minnesota and had a record turnout of over 2,000 attendees. |
