| Print any Crystal Report from any GP Window
Benefits of Report Shortcuts |
Do you have Crystal reports that users want to print when they are on a particular window in Dynamics GP? Maybe you want a customer statement to print when you're looking at the Receivables Transaction Inquiry window. Or a list of all items you purchase from a particular vendor when you're looking at that vendor's transaction list.
GP Reports Viewer gives you the flexibility to set up an unlimited number of Shortcuts to your Crystal reports. Shortcuts can be added to either the window Print button or the Additional (or Extras) menu on any window. That includes any third-party products or customizations you have installed for Dynamics GP.
You can map each parameter on your Crystal Report to any field on the Dynamics GP window. Optionally you can disable the default Dynamics GP reports on any window and replace them with your own Crystal Reports.

How to highlight without formulas |
Ever have a list of values in a column and want to selectively highlight or change the color of only values over a certain amount? There is no need to write formulas to accomplish this in Crystal Reports.
Here are the steps:
- Right click on the field and choose Highlighting Expert.
- Click New at the bottom of the Item list.
- In the Item editor, select your criteria. For example: this field is greater than 1000.
- Change the font style, color, background or border.
- To create additional highlighting rules, repeat steps 2 through 5 above.
- Click OK to close the Highlighting Expert.
The Highlighting Expert can also be used on summary fields anywhere on your Crystal Report. |
